THERESA N. MAGUIRE, ESQ. has over thirty years of experience practicing law in the areas of Trust and Estates, Real Estate, Litigation and Business Law.  Theresa earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Boston College, graduating with honors, and her Juris Doctor Degree from St. John’s University School of Law, where she was the New York Practice Editor of the St. John’s Law Review. She practiced for ten years in New York City, first at Willkie Farr & Gallagher and then at Schwab Goldberg Price and Dannay. She subsequently moved her practice to Westchester county and began practicing law, first with Pollock & Maguire LLP, and now with Maguire Law Group PLLC. 

Theresa’s practice areas include:  1) trusts and estates, including estate planning, probate and estate administration, estate tax filings, estate litigation and elder law; 2) residential and commercial real estate work (purchases, sales, financing and defeasance), and 3) business formation, planning, succession planning and general business law. Theresa is admitted to practice in New York State, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York as well as the Supreme Court of the United States.

Theresa is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Westchester County Bar Association, the Westchester Women’s Bar Association and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. Theresa is active in her community, having served for over ten years as the Treasurer, an Executive Board Member and pro bono legal advisor to the FC Westchester Elite Soccer Club, and prior to that, acting for many years as Executive Board Member and Treasurer of the White Plains Youth Soccer Association and member of the board of directors of the Westchester Youth Soccer League. Theresa is a past president of her church’s Women’s Guild and current member and past board member of the Woman’s Club of White Plains.   Theresa also served as the Legal Governor on the Board of Governors of the Coveleigh Club in Rye, New York for six years.
